Scott Marino originally grew up in Newport Beach California where he and his mother moved from Connecticut in the early 1970’s. Scott grew up spending most of time at the beach in summer and winter as an avid surfer and scuba diver. After graduating High School in 1987 he went on to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as a Communications major. It was at Cal Poly that Scott discovered the sport of Rugby and that sport eventually took him around the world and finally to Vail in 1997. Marino moved to Vail, Colorado “To play one summer of rugby” and has only returned to California for visits, “After spending one summer in this beautiful valley I knew I was here for life”. Since that time he has served as a player, member and president of the Vail Rugby Club, local youth and middle school football coach, and part time ski instructor. He is also a member of Vail Rotary and a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. . Marino has a background in advertising and marketing and only recently switched firms to become a broker for Slifer Smith and Frampton. “Slifer Smith and Frampton’s reputation, branding, marketing, resources, and support were what I needed to best serve my clients” quotes Marino about the move. Since 2006 Marino had closed over 70 transactions totaling over 25 million dollars in sales. Scott and his wife Kari live in Eagle Ranch with their little girl “Sara Lynn” and their large rambunctious Yellow Lab “Powder”. The family enjoys spending their free time skiing, camping, hiking, fly fishing, and taking advantage of all the things to do in this great community.
